His extensive background includes designing and delivering significant projects and precinct across a diverse range of sectors including mixed use, industrial, retail and state infrastructure.
Andrew’s experience and expertise have attracted a diverse clientele, including both private and public industry leaders.
Andrew’s clients include Transport for NSW, Department of Planning, Goodman, Frasers, Dexus, Charter Hall, Mirvac, GPT and others. Andrew’s hands-on approach extends to all aspects of the project planning process, from stakeholder engagement to project delivery.
His commitment to transparent communication and collaboration from inception to completion guarantees that each project is tailored to the needs of the community and stakeholders, resulting in positive urban environments and successful project outcomes.

Edmund worked on a number of key infrastructure projects in NSW including Mamre Road Precinct Traffic Study, Liverpool Moorebank Arterial Road Investigation, Sydney Airport to CBD Mesoscopic Model, M4 Managed Motorway Concept Design, M4 Smart Motorway Construction Staging and The Northern Road Stage 2 Concept Design.

With extensive experience in NSW, interstate, and overseas, Jan’s expertise covers all aspects of transportation modelling, pedestrian and precinct planning, public transport and light rail operational modelling, transport assessment, and active transport studies.
Jan has worked with clients such as Transport for NSW, Sydney Trains, Sydney Metro, and the Suburban Rail Loop Consortium in Victoria, delivering successful transport modelling projects such as the Horsley Drive upgrade, Suburban Rail Loop in Melbourne, and More Trains More Services.
Through this experience, Jan has gained a thorough understanding of the development and transport infrastructure delivery process, enabling him to make informed decisions on similar projects for both government and private clients.

Piran Trethewey, a founding director of Ason Group, is an experienced traffic engineer with expertise in the areas of traffic engineering analysis and assessment.
Based in Sydney, NSW since 2009, Piran has also worked in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, acquiring a broad knowledge base in the traffic and transport industry.
Piran has been involved in numerous traffic impact assessments for different types of development and land uses. He has also undertaken peer reviews of traffic impact studies on behalf of local and state authorities, critically reviewing the traffic methodology and assumptions made by applicants to ensure compliance with the relevant guidelines and standards. Piran has also acted as an Expert Witness for Land and Environment court proceedings and assisted state government with the preparation of state environmental planning policy.
An effective communicator, Piran is also a skilled user of many transport related software packages, including SIDRA, AUTOCAD, AUTOTRACK and TRICS. In addition to working with his fellow directors to shape and grow Ason Group, Piran remains hands-on with projects, with his current focus being to lead Ason Group’s development of new sustainable transport strategies and initiatives in partnership with some of Australia’s largest freight and logistics companies and Government agencies.
James is a Principal Traffic Engineer and has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering , with a Diploma in Engineering Practice, and has been working as a traffic engineer in the transport planning and transport construction industries for over 11 years.

James is a Principal Traffic Engineer and has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering , with a Diploma in Engineering Practice, and has been working as a traffic engineer in the transport planning and transport construction industries for over 11 years.
During this time, James has been involved in numerous projects for both private organisations and government agencies, including CPB Samsung John Holland Joint Venture (WestConnex M4 Extension Joint Venture) and The Hills Shire Council.
Past projects have ranged in size from detailed design advice in relation to concept suburb masterplans, intersection upgrades, to the preparation of due diligence advice, Construction and Operational Traffic Management Plans, Traffic Guidance Schemes, Pre-and post-construction Design Statements, and Traffic Impact Assessments.
James has undertaken internal road safety inspections post major road works and has experience dealing with the Transport Management Centre to obtain Road Occupancy Licenses.
Furthermore, James has been trained in and worked with transport planning models, and this experience allows him to give specialist advice on transport planning and construction issues. These models and programs include AutoCAD Vehicle Tracking, SIDRA and Rapid plan.
James has a comprehensive understanding of traffic and transport regulations and can deliver balanced transport solutions for liveable, equitable and connected spaces. James relishes the challenges faced by traffic engineers and seeks to provide holistic solutions to create better experiences for motorists and pedestrians.

Becky is a Senior Transport Planner with over 8 years’ experience in local government and private consultancy fields.
Having worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, Becky has acquired a broad knowledge base in the traffic and transport industry. During this 8-year period, Rebecca has undertaken numerous projects for both private developers and Government Agencies across a range of industry sectors.
Her planning background has provided her with strong strategic skills and she has a specialisation in travel planning, having worked extensively with various British Universities to develop and manage their travel plans. This included helping the University of Bath achieve a Gold Award from the Travelwest Travel Plan Accreditation Scheme.
Past projects have ranged in size from small residential developments to the preparation of Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) and Transport Management and Accessibility Plans (TMAPs) for large Planning Proposal submissions.

Eric is a Senior Traffic Engineer/ Analyst. He has extensive experience across a wide range of traffic sub-disciplines including transport modelling, traffic engineering and planning, and traffic design.
His broad range of experience enables him to have a holistic understanding of projects and to craft well-considered solutions for the client.
Currently, Eric’s focus is on analytics and modelling. His typical workflow encompasses data collection, cleansing and analysis (using Excel, Power Query, Python) which feeds into further data visualisation (Tableau), transport modelling (SIDRA and Aimsun), and documentation. Eric takes a hands-on approach, usually as the primary project manager, managing project resourcing and timeframes, client liaison, and deliverables.
Key projects Eric’s been involved in include Victoria Road Aimsun modelling, various State Significant Developments for multi-storey industrial warehousing, multiple Integrated Transport Action Plan (ITAP) projects, due diligence work in Macquarie Park, and large scale data collection and visualisation for NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service across 100+ concurrent sites.
Emma is Senior Transport Planner and she has worked on a range of projects across multiple sectors from inception to delivery. Her knowledge and understanding of how sustainable and active travel can be embedded into schemes through design and management enables her to deliver workable transport strategies for her clients.

Emma is passionate about creating sustainable developments and is particularly interested in how transport can contribute to sustainable improvements to public realm.
Emma has been involved in a number of high-profile developments across the UK including the relocation of the Museum of London to the historic West Smithfield, redevelopment of Deutsche Bank’s HQ, Shepherd’s Bush Market, the Royal Agricultural University’s Innovation Village, and a number of tower schemes within the City of London.
Emma previously worked for five years in the UK developing sustainable transport and servicing strategies for a mix of development types. She has an innate understanding of the hard and soft travel planning measures which she utilises to provide her clients with the ability to drive behaviour change and encourage sustainable travel.
In the UK, Emma was the Chair for the Westminster Property Association’s Next Generation Committee leading the Associations work to encourage young people into the Built Environment and helping them to develop strong networks early in their careers.

With over 6 years of experience, Alan is a versatile engineer which can be demonstrated his experience in wide range of projects within the traffic and transport industry. Alan has been involved in Construction Traffic Management Plans, Traffic Control Plans and Transport Assessments for private developers to Transport Planning projects such as Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) studies, Bike Plans and Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plans (PAMP) for Council’s and other government agencies.
Alan is also proficient at using Rapidplan, AutoCAD, Autotrack, and SIDRA modelling software.

Ali is a Principal Traffic Engineer with Ason Group and his current accreditation includes Chartered and National Engineering Registered status with Engineers Australia (MIEAust CPEng NER).
Ali has more than 10 years of experience across the full spectrum of traffic and parking assessments, and detailed macro meso, and micro-simulation models for number of clients.
Ali holds a PhD in Civil Engineering (Traffic and Transportation discipline) and continues to explore new learning and technological opportunities. He has worked for private consulting firms in Iran, Western Australia and New South Wales.
He has undertaken numerous traffic and transport assessments for all types of development, from industrial estates, mixed use to residential and several retail facilities, providing both clear analysis and detailed technical advice. Ali is an effective communicator and a skilled user of many traffic modelling software packages, including SIDRA, EMME, DYNAMEQ and AIMSUN. He has also specifically developed the necessary knowledge to effectively and efficiently utilise different mathematical software products relevant to the field of traffic and transport, including SPSS and GIS packages such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
Ali is fully conversant with the application of design-based software packages including AUTOCAD, AUTOTRACK and AUTOTURN, which has been invaluable in providing clients with expedient and accurate advice across all design issues.
Ali’s broad work experience, paired with his extensive academic background, make him one of the most accomplished engineers in the traffic and transport industry.

Jensen is a Traffic Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering from UNSW.
Joining Ason Group in 2021, he has since been involved in numerous projects with School Infrastructure NSW, industrial and commercial developers, and multiple Councils.
Jensen has extensive experience preparing due diligence studies to support business cases for new and existing schools in high-growth areas comprising complex traffic and transport requirements.
He is capable in all aspects of transport assessment; providing traffic design advice for masterplan and detailed design for Aspect Industrial Estate in Mamre Road Precinct, transport modelling for Oran Park Public School, and the operational green travel plan for Yarrila Place, Coffs Harbour.
Jensen’s experience working in the education, commercial and industrial space enable him to readily undertake projects for a range of private and government clients. He takes acute care throughout all matters of his projects to reach mutually desired outcomes for all stakeholders.

He has developed a range of skills essential to achieving positive outcomes and brings an enthusiastic approach with attention to client and stakeholder engagement. He values building professional relationships and encourages positive and open communication as part of any project delivery. He has worked closely with a range of key clients over many years including Vicinity, TOGA, QIC, Charter Hall, Stockland and Multiplex to deliver a diverse range of large and small scale projects.
Rhys has focused on delivering a range of masterplans, planning proposals, strategic transport assessments and parking studies for over 20 years and sees the movement of people and goods by all travel modes as integral to realising a sustainable future. Regular involvement with all aspects of construction traffic management through to construction and occupation certification has also been a focus. He also brings a wealth of practical experience to detailed site layout and design as part of proactive engagement on a range of architectural details.
Through a combination of land use planning experience, technical transport knowledge and a definitive pragmatic approach, Rhys continually brings a broader perspective to complex projects in an ever-changing environment. He also regularly acts as expert witness in the Land & Environment Court with his experience fostering ongoing development of strong verbal and written communication skills. Being an active contributor to envisaging, designing, constructing and delivering great projects will continue to drive his enthusiasm.
